Platja de Llevant is the youngest of Barcelona’s beaches, created in 2006 after the Prim breakwater was removed. Quiet and seldom crowded, it stretches along the city’s north-eastern edge, where the sea opens calmly. Ideal for those looking to escape the bustle and experience a more residential, contemporary side of Barcelona, it offers volleyball courts and a designated dog area, inviting visitors to stroll at their own pace and savour a different rhythm of life by the sea.

This is good to know

It is the only beach in Barcelona with a regulated dog-access area during the summer, complete with clear rules and adapted facilities for a stress-free visit.
Showers, toilets, walkways, a volleyball area and several chiringuitos, or beach bars, allow visitors to cool off while keeping the sea in sight at all times.
