Mountains and hiking
With over 8,000 hectares of protected Mediterranean vegetation and wildlife, Parc de Collserola is Barcelona’s great green lung. Its dirt paths wind through pine and holm oak forests and cultivated fields, offering space for running, cycling or quiet walks. Just 15 minutes from the city, you’ll find viewpoints over the sea, remains of an Iberian settlement, medieval castles, Romanesque churches and even a small nature centre. It’s both an everyday escape and an easy place to get away from the city. Collserola isn’t just somewhere you visit: you explore it, breathe it in and remember it.
