The Els gats (Cats) Mural is an urban artwork that transforms a façade in El Raval into a small feline showcase. Through its shapes and colours, the mural depicts a wide variety of cats climbing up and down the wall, blending in with the building’s architectural features. Visitors come to observe these silent yet restless inhabitants, who seem to move among balconies and windows as if they have always lived there.

This is good to know

The mural has been restored twice. In the most recent restoration, in March 2015, the artist himself added a sixth cat to the composition.
The area is popularly known as the "plaça dels gats" thanks to this piece.
